Q3. What can I do if my wife is not staying with me? What if wife is not staying with husband? Hi, I’ve been married for approximately three years and have a two-year-old son. My wife is not staying with me and keeps finding reasons to go to her father’s home, even saying she doesn’t want to live with my parents. In these three years, she hasn’t stayed with me for more than three months at a time. We’ve tried to bring her back home, but she always gives a new reason. Her father is also threatening to file a fake harassment case against me. What can I do if my wife is not staying with me? What if wife is not staying with husband?
Advocate Namitabh Kothari answered:
Please take the decision keeping your future life and long term in mind. If she is not ready and threatening to file false cases, then you will have to take legal steps after thinking over your decision as to whether you want to live with her or without her. Depending on your decision, further advice can be given.
